Introducing Numberless URLs
For quite some time now, ProBoards forum URLs have included your server number in the domain name (e.g. your-forum.proboards40.com). We are happy to announce that all forums have been seamlessly upgraded to numberless URLs.
When accessing your forum through it's normal URL you will be automatically redirected to your-forum.proboards.com. All redirects are seamless and will direct you to the correct page you were attempting to access at the old URL.
Forums which use custom domains are not affected by this change.

Allow me to be the first one to say... COOL!!! This is a great addition, but I think I've noticed it awhile ago, when I've typed my forum's address without the numbers.
I'm looking forward to see more updates at Proboards. You're doing a great job, so keep it up! :)

I've noticed this for a while now & initially I thought that there were some hackers on the loose using the ProBoards.com domain.
I'm happy for this because people always forget the URL to my board when I tell them. They end up emailing me or google it. So I'm officially happy about this.

Great news. Hope any quirks have been worked out since I plan to change our redirect URL to the numberless URL now :)
Thanks Proboards. Best forum service ever.

This is really great! Thanks for removing that. It was annoying, honestly. xD
To Robert: I noticed it, too, but now it actually redirects when the number is in the url. It didn't do that before.

=] This is great! It helps me remember my old sites, since all the numbers got confusing after a while. And now that I've added a comment number two, I'm happy to say that proboards just keeps getting better! I love you guys!

AMAZING!
Thank you very much. It doesn't sound like much, but this change in the URL makes our forum links VERY Professional.
Keep up the great work guys. I'll continue referring friends to use your website for any of their forums.

Proboards is great, and easy to use.
I'm a great fan of darkliferadio.proboards.com
The free radio forum has been a big help for us and saves us allot of time not having to build a board.
Making the URL easy to remember helps everyone; including the advertisers who support the free boards.

This is good but it has its down side. For instance, at school I used to be able to access my proboards site, however now I can't because the school has blocked all sites with '.proboards.com'. I used to be able to get around this because of the numbers in the url - ahwell, such is life. Apart from this, it is helpful.

That's great I'm glad because I would always forget the number in front of my url. I can't wait to see what else Pro board has in store.

I fully enjoy this! I've been attempting for a while to find some of my older sites to revamp them since I now have the time for them and now I can find them! Thank you!
In response to Son of Exodia: www. is rarely needed when typing any URL. There are very few sites whom require it to direct you to the right location. I haven't typed in www. in 2 years now.

I really like this upgrade. It is much easier to maintain more forums than it was with numbered URLs, since you would have to remember both the name and the number of each of your forums. Now all you have to do is remember the names! Or just bookmark them, =D
Thanks for doing this, Proboards!
