Backup Server Updates
We've determined that even with 2.6 terabytes of space that we're going to need more. To that end we've ordered a 3rd server with an additional 1.3 terabytes of hard drive space. This server should come online within the next 48 hours. With our new backup solution we have all forums backing up on a weekly basis.
Also, I wanted to touch on a planned feature related to our backups. In the future we will be offering an option from your admin panel to view when the latest backup of your forum was made. This way you can be assured that a backup of your forum is available in the event of data loss.
Further to this, we are planning offer a paid backup restore feature which will allow you to revert your forum back to the state it was in when our last backup was made. Details on pricing and availability will come in the future.
Please note that this feature is not currently available, but it is in the works for a future update. I do not have a planned release date at this time.

this is a really good thing, I was actually going to send them a message to ask them, but this update is relavent so I guess for now i'll just mention it here, but as a paid service, would it(or could it) be effectivly possible to offer a service similar to the personal message back up, but for a board? for example I pay X amount of 'credits' to 'save' my board, at which point it tells me to come back once it is prepared, and it offers me the ability to download a zip(or some other file type) containing the different posts on my forum, in sub folders of their origional threads, with perhaps Dates and times of posting, with user who posted?
This may seem impracticle for the larger boards, but it would be perfect for smaller boards, such as one I post on, Its an RP board so evven though there are only about 9000 posts, each one is so dearly important that we would take any means to preserve them.
Larger boards might have a problem doing this, but the extra resources and memory taken up during this process could be compensated with a board size to credit cost ratio, so that a sizable fund could be collected from this, and turned towards maintaining this process....
Just food for thought, It would be an awesome if somewhat impracticle idea, eh?

Great work.
However,
I think it would be great if it were possible to download a backup version of the forum's current state as some sort of file. Besides the additional piece of mind, it would allow an admin to make a backup before committing to significant changes or modification. If it turns out that they were not well-received or brought up issues, the backup could be restored by uploading the file back to the server.
